In the previous lesson, we discussed how can we decide our pitch or scale. Now we will see it practically, for male scales. If you are a female, watch this lesson How to find vocal scale | Female. We will first start in pitch C#, then we will also see how it can be done similarly on other pitches such as D and D#. Finally, you have to pick a pitch that is most comfortable to your voice. Starting with pitch C#. Try to sing from mandra saptak (lower octave) Pa to taar saptak (higher octave) Pa. Watch the video above for the demonstration. Initially, it may also happen that your voice may go up only till taar saptak Sa or Re or Ga, which is normal. And it doesn't mean you should move to a lower pitch such as C or B. With regular riyaz, you should be able to improve your range. We will discuss more about it in a later lesson. Now let's try in pitch D. Watch the video above for the demonstration. If you are having difficulty in singing lower notes in C# pitch, then try in this pitch. Likewise, if singing lower notes is difficult in D pitch, then try D# pitch. If you are learning from a Guru, you can also consult with them about your pitch. Nonetheless, hope this lesson helped.
